India won the ODI series against New Zealand
India secured a 2-0 series victory against New Zealand with an eight-wicket win in Raipur, thanks to a strong performance from their fast bowlers. The match saw New Zealand being bowled out for 108 in under 35 overs, with India then chasing down the total in 20.1 overs, led by captain Rohit Sharma's 51 off 50. It was India's seventh consecutive bilateral ODI series win at home.
Devon Conway and Tom Latham were sent back to the pavilion with one-handed return catches by Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kishan respectively. This resulted in New Zealand being reduced to 15 for 5, which was the lowest score at which India have picked up five wickets in a men's ODI and also New Zealand's lowest score at five down. Despite a patient stand of 47 between Glenn Phillips and Mitchell Santner, New Zealand were bowled out for 108. In the chase, India successfully reached the target with the help of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, winning the match by 8 wickets.
